Where to find snail mail pen pals?

• I'm 13, in the UK and I'm a little bit hyper. I love singing, even though I'm really bad at it; am trying to learn how to play the guitar but just don't know where to start, and I'm average height (5' 1" I think...) brown hair, brown eyes, dull dull dull. Once I start reading a good book It's very hard to put it down, and I love 1950's movies. Does anyone know where I can find pen pals in the UK? Preferably around the same age as me? I got the idea from watching Mary and Max (movie) about this little girl who decides to start writing to a random person from a phone book, because she doesn't have any friends. He's 45 years old, but the two become best friends over time. I haven't finished the movie yet, but yeah, that concept gave me this idea. I was gonna do the phone book thing, but decided that it might not go as amicably as it did in Mary and Max... So yeah, if anyone has any ideas as to where I can find a pen pal (male or female, it doesn't matter which gender. Just no aliens, they might not be so friendly) please answer this question! Any help is appreciated (help though, not trolls!).
