What sims 3 expansion pack is best?
-
I was thinking either generations or late night because i love family and to have kids on the sims 3 but i love meeting celebs and being rich and stuff lol:) so what do you recommend and why??:)

Answer:
Personally out of those two I prefer Late Night because of the amount it adds to the game - it's better value for money than Generations (which is still a great pack and still adds a lot to the game!) I think the best way to decide is to look at exactly what each pack gives you in detail. Here are a couple of decent guides to those expansions: - Generations: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/generations/ - Late Night: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/latenight/ (that site in general is great for expansion guides and information) Like I said, personally I'd go for Late Night out of those two choices, but either way you wouldn't be disappointed! :)

Late Night and Ambitions give you new towns. World Adventures gives you an option (after you gain enough Visa Points) to get a vacation home in China, France, or Egypt. I like Late Night because the town is HUGE and there's new instruments, apartments, clubs, new stuff, basements, curved pools, fountains, vampires (your life is expanded as one and you learn stuff quicker) and more. I don't have Generations but I think it just gives you more options for your Sims life and more events. Ambitions gives you 'Professions' where you can actually see your Sims go to work instead of it being a rabbit hole and new skills. World Adventures lets you go to China, France, and Egypt, go on adventures, solve stuff, get new artifacts, also gives you basements and new stuff, take pictures, and more. I don't have Pets ): But my friend likes it.

Hmm. thats tough since those are both my two favorites.I think I like Generations slightly more. Generations: Pros: It gives you a lot of new like interactions, and makes the game much more realistic. If you really like giving your sims normal lives, & really enjoying interacting with all the other sims, & such then Generations is for you. It gives you a lot of nice children decorations & such which is really nice. I love designing homes, so this was great! Cons: Not a new town, not a ton of new furnitures, more outdoor playground & children bedroom stuff. Kind of disappointing that their wasn't a new town, since I love moving around, and buying homes. Late night: Pros: New town, which is interesting & different. Vampires are in. Not really too into it, but I like it. I love being a celebrity, & you get rich really quick. So, its kind of nice not to have to use motherlode. Its fun being a celebrity, i haven't gotten sick of it yet. the furniture & such included is pretty nice as well. Cons: After living in bridgeport for a short time, I began to hate it! Even though I liked going to bars, it was hard to really go, because my sims would get tired and then by the time I got there, they close! This is NOT a family friendly town. I know its realistic, & I know apartment living is truly like this, but its just not very fun, when pretty much every house is a 1 bedroom. Not really enjoyable there. And then the houses in the hills (the mansions) are far from town & only some I even really like. Then, the other houses on the way way opposite of town, are like little 1 bed room houses, with no land, so no option to build on, except making my garage into a bedroom. & your kids take forever to get home. Its just kind of a bummer the way the town was set up, it makes sense, but just kind of a pain. Then, I have gotten very bad glitches, where my people get stuck in the elevators and such. It's also incredibly easy to get famous, literally just talk to a famous person. thats it. your famous! so eh. I mean I do like late night, & i do recommend both for sure. But, if you really are into family & kids & living more of a normal life, generations is for you. but they truly are both great, even though my late night cons were kind of long! happy simming :)
