What do I write in the summary of my resume?

What are some good ideas to put on my resume for professional summary?

• im not sure what to write in my professional summary box for my resume. i've helped out at my family restaurant and baby sat my cousins for extra money and i communicate well with customers and children i just need help writing all this in a professional way.

  Tailor it to the specific job you are applying to. What kind of activity did you do at the restaurant that would complement skills you think are required for the new job? Babysitter - don't put your cousins, but maybe have your aunt or uncle as references and use the name of the person who isn't a blood relative. Give them a heads-up about the reference. It doesn't need to be "professional" it needs to be you. Show yourself, don't let your resume look sterile.
