How to revise successfully?

How to revise for mock GCSE?

  • We have mock GCSE's at school, every year, and I always revise for them by reading the exercise books a couple of times, one week before them. We always have about 1 month to revise win, but i don't know how to revise or concentrate.

There are few things that you may want to try, to boost your performance up: 1. You should always make sure you have at least a month (from the exam) to revise. This will give you time to get into grips with all the information, this should especially be done for subjects where there is a lot to learn i.e. history etc. 2. You need to make sure you revise every day (so that you dont have any pauses, that result in loss of information) for at least an hour, but you can compramise, fot example one day if you have time, revise for 3 hours and the next you dont need to. However make sure that you are not crapping to much info into your brain, its not good and it doesnt work very often. 3. Revise effeciently, read throught what you need to learn at least twise, out loud to yourslef (do this especially at night), you could also record yourself and listen back to it. Make sure you also write things down (in note form or which ever way you prefer). Good luck with your mocks... and the real ones ;)
