How to get Battery charging status in WPF?

Dell laptop - No battery detected problem.?

  • My laptop is around 7 months old. The battery has, up until recently, been working fine with around an hour and a half battery life when not plugged into the AC. I turned it on one day and the battery was completely run down and refusing to charge. However, the battery status said it was working normally so I guessed that the problem was on part of the laptop or some virus. However, now it is showing a red cross through the battery and still not charging. It says 'no battery detected'. When I now look at the battery status it doesn't show any information as if it's not plugged in. I haven't dropped the laptop or comprimised the laptop in any way so I can't understand why this has happened... anyone know why or have any idea how I can get it to charge again?

    1. power down laptop 2. unplug ac power cord 3. remove battery 4.press and hold power button for two minutes (must be done for this time) 5. put battery back in 6. connect ac power supply 7. start as normal
