Get over fear of tumbling?

How do I get over the fear of doing a new tumbling skill with out a spotter?

  • My coach says that I Have my back handspring and that if I did it by myself I would just be able to do it. Well I'm WAY to scared to do that and I don;t know how to get over this fear. So please help and tell me ways that I could get over this fear!

    try doing it on a tumble track by yourself because it will be easier and then u can learn to trust yourself. then if u have the right form u can move it to the floor. Otherwise tell ur coach to start spotting u less and less and gradually you will have it on your own.

well im a cheerleader and what i do is i just imagine a spotter behind me or i imagine that im floating in the air.
