Answer:
Have you already bought these items? If not, this is what we do: I am 75 years old and home cooked for 50 years. I am now using these wonderful ready made foods and they are VERY good. My hubby likes them and I get out of the kitchen fast. (But if you wish to cook from scratch, go here for wonderful dinner recipes: http://www.cooks.com/rec/ch/main_dishes.html ) You can buy precooked meats that come in sealed packages and heated in the microwave. Found in the cold section of the grocery store, not the freezer. Ask a clerk to help you find them. Always read the directions on packages and boxes: Beef: Beef Tips with Gravy Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce Sliced Barbecue Beef Brisket Sliced Roast Beef with Gravy Salisbury Steak with Gravy Beef Stroganoff Meatloaf Chicken: Chicken Breast with Gravy Ham Maple and Brown Sugar Glazed Ham Pork: Pork Chops with Gravy Shredded Barbecue Pork Turkey: Sliced Turkey Breast with Gravy And many more. On the side you can use frozen or canned vegetables. Frozen or canned potatoes or sweet potatoes. Precooked rice of all types, open a corner of the packages and heat in a microwave. Ask a clerk to help you find them. There are many wonderful dry dinners found on shelfs. Buy the top brands and follow directions on containers. These are great for school or work. Most offices have microwaves. Ask a clerk to help you find them. Frozen dinners are now delicious. Buy the top brands. Follow the directions for microwaving. (If you can, buy a small freezer that will hold two weeks to a month's worth of frozen dinners. You'll be glad you did.) You can buy ready made frozen pies, or ready made pies to pop into the oven. Read directions on the boxes. The deli also has fresh made pies and cakes. Deli's have roasted chicken and fried chicken if you are in a hurry and on the way home. Most have coleslaw and potato salads. The new dinners for two that come in large bags from the freezer section are delicious too and very popular. Sides can be salad, vegetable, potatoes baked or mashed.
