Why does the PS3 lag so much?

Why does my modern warfare 3 lag alot on ps3 when my brother is using the internet on pc at same time?

    Only way is to upgrade the internet connection, or, if you're on a very good connection, you can try upgrading a new router. Your modem, and your router, can only process a certain amount of data at once. Some routers are able to process more. However, that is irrelevant if the original internet speed is slow.
