What are some funny/stupid things you used to believe as a kid?

  • Ah, children! They're so gullible! Being new to the world, they often believe anything you tell them, and then they also come up with some rather amusing theories themselves. I'm sure we all believed/thought something or the other as a kid which we know is ridiculous now. Here's a list of some of the things I used to think/believe as a 90s kid: -Used to think toys came alive at night because my mother told me, and the Toy Story movie didn't help, lol. -Used to think that the album art for Nevermind by Nirvana was the Water Babies movie. -Used to think that the 'real' Mickey Mouse only lived at the Disneyland Paris resort, not the Florida one. -Used to think that if I crawled around the floor on all fours for long enough, I would lose the ability to walk on two legs. -Used to think Growlithe was the only real Pokemon after I saw a chow chow dog. -Used to think Michael Jackson was a woman. -Someone told me that the Spice Girls were serial killers and I would always used to cry when they came on the TV, lmao! -Used to think The Smashing Pumpkins were people who went around smashing pumpkins in order to make pumpkin squash. -Used to think zombies were going to break in in the night and eat me after playing Resident Evil (I was like 4 or 5).

I used to think that if I killed an insect, a ten foot version would come after me ..... even today, I won't kill anything but that has more to do with the belief that everything has as much right to life as I do. I used to believe I could control the clouds and traffic lights with my mind. I had the idea that if I went to bed after the epilogue and the national anthem, the world would end ..... obviously when I was a teenager and could stay up until 11pm when the telly ended.

i used to believe in santa, easter bunny, peter pan (1-6) i thought on x-mas if i went outside i get run over by a reindeer(4 yrs old) my brothers "mean" toys would come out at night and kill me (3-4 yrs old) my barbies would have party's when i went to bed (5 yrs old) and when you kissed somebody on the lips you would become pregnant (3-4 yrs old)

I use to kind that the doctors in the hospital made babies and people had to do there to buy them if they wanted a baby. I know that's wired but yeah lol

Haha yeah me too when I was a little child, Im wondering if my toys may come alive at night but I don't found any proof ! I also did the toothfairy stuff haha lol :D but it didn't work at all !

I used to think that people inside the television can see me, just like how we see them. So, I would no longer be running around naked in the house, but I was very little. XD

I used to believe all babies came out of women's belly buttons, this was because my mum had cesarean sections with all of us and had told us we came out of her belly. I remember my friends and I arguing with two older girls at primary school about it, they told us how babies were really born and we were disgusted and said "eww no babies come out of the belly button!" Ha ha! I also grew up respecting my elders and believing with age came wisdom, boy was I wrong! I've met a lot of very rude and ignorant old people.
