Are humans essentially good or bad?

Did humans have instincts before Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad?

  • I can't remember what the scriptures in the bible say but after adam and eve both ate the fruit they noticed they were stark naked and knew what was good and bad

the bible does not say, however, it does say that when God created them, he told them to be fruitful and multiply so one must assume that they instinctively knew what that meant. adam and eve were two special people God created to put in his special garden and the things they did eventually affected all of mankind since everything God's chosen people do affects the rest of the human race. besides, God eventually wiped out everyone except those who were direct descendants of adam and eve in the flood, so now all the humans on the earth are descendant only from them.
