Loading problem with Sims 2?

PROBLEM WHEN LOADING THE SIMS 2 PLEASE HELP!?

  • Hi there, when I have played The Sims 2 in the past, it has never said this message: No disc inserted. Please insert the original "The Sims™ 2 Apartment Life Expansion Pack" CD/DVD. I have no idea what the hell my dad does but he burns the Sims 2 game and expansion packs onto a disc then puts them on the PC so i dont need the disc in the PC. it's never done this before and I never insert the disc into my drive so I dont know what has happened??!! he gets bloody annoyed when he needs to re install all of the expansion packs and he wont do it this time. I dont know if you buy the game you need the disc in at all times but like i sadi before the Game is on the PC without needing the disc. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help! I am a SUPERsimsfan01!!!

    The same sort of thing happened to me. I went to the EA website and downloaded the update patch for my game, and it works fine now.
