How does proxy bypass firewall filter?

How can i bypass the proxy in my school's firewall?

  • My School has blocked yahoo!mail; it is ridiculous and stupid. I have already explained to them that students, such as I, need access to email for documents students email to themselves. Please help me find a working proxy. I am not trying to get on Facebook or Youtube. I seriously need to find a way to access my email, seeing the logic of my school administration is clearly impaired. Please help quickly! Thank you.

You are so arrogant and full of yourself. You are a student. The school administration are highly trained professionals acting under the instructions of the Department of Education in Washington. Bypassing an official web block - whether in a school, college or workplace - amounts to a criminal misdemeanor - tampering - for which you could legitimately be arrested. It sounds like you're going to have a very challenging adult life

Ed Fox the sole claim that network administration in any school are experts or "highly trained" is outright retarded, my hs' network admin was the librarian who probably received a 30 minute course on "how to look over shoulder", as far as there is no change done to the set up it cannot be considered tampering (might want to look the word up before you use it). Here's a link to everydayproxy group, once you register for it they will email you a list of new proxies every day. www.everydayproxy.com (Try using a mail service which is not currently blocked to receive the newsletter). Also note that plenty of those proxies might themselves be blocked, but generally you can find at least 1 that works. I expected for it to be blocked tbh. Just subscribe at home. You can try using some foreign email and see if they're blocked. If all else fails just print the list at home and bring it to school .

This isn't the best answer, but I wanted to suggest something that may or may not be help to you, but this link http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-get-into-blocked-websites-in-school-with-freeproxy/ will explain how to make your computer a proxy, and allow access through your computer, but I don't know if you bring your laptop to school or not. Hope everything goes well with your situation, if you can't get around the firewall, try using a flash drive instead of e-mail.
