Does the whizzinator work well?

I just started work recently, how to communicate well with the crew members? I am afraid of approaching them.?

  • I work as a part timer service crew in Wendy's. I started my first day of work recently. The manager said that I did fries well but the problem is that I could not communicate well with the other crew members. I am a soft-spoken and timid girl. I am not afraid of communicating. It is just that I don't know the service crew members there well yet so I feel like a stranger there. I don't feel a sense of belonging. The service crew members and the managers are very friendly though. However, I just feel that they are not very happy with my work performance. For a while, I just stared into space dreaming. Somehow, they did not say anything but I can feel that they are annoyed by me. I feel so sorry. I am not happy with my work performance too but I will try my best to do well. I am also afraid that I will make mistakes soon. For example, making the wrong sandwich, taking the wrong order or forgot what they taught me. I hope I can get along well with them soon. I want everyone to be happy, including customers. If we want our customers to enjoy themselves, we need to have fun too. For a while, the customers keep looking at me to take order but I don't know how. I really want to help. I feel empty cause I cannot help. So shag. :( They wait there for about 5 minutes. I really want to help. By the way, how can I gain confidence in communicating with the other crew members. I am only talkative with people I am more familiar with. Please help. What should I do? I want to feel like I belong there. I am not acting cool by keeping quiet. I am afraid of speaking up because I am alone most times. My friends find me boring, blur and shy.

  • Answer:

first of all you'd have better luck in another section because this is mythology, secondly dont be afraid to speak up at work you need to communicate and its very important at work. I remember when i first got my job working at toys r us we had to speak over the p.a and i was so afraid and shy i couldnt get the words out riight and kept making mistakes at the til etc.. what ive learnt is you have to speak up because you are getting paid for what your doing you cant alwys continue making mistakes because it will cost them.. it cost money to train employees to work for them because theyre taking extra time out to train you. You sound like an awesome person though.. and i know your first job will always be hard but once you get over the fear of getting to know your co workers and more confidence in yourself you'll be fine this will help you gain experience towards another job and a career. Remember you wont be at wendys forever. During your break, take time off to talk to your co workers get to know them joke with them.. and ask for help and questions if you need to. How do you gain confidence in yourself? To accept yourself exactly as you are flaws and all and still be comfortable in your own skin. Good luck
