Skin test for eczema - private health care - how do I go about this?

• My Daughter has eczema and i would like to get a skin test done to hopefully rule out the dog for making it flame up, I just want her to stop being in pain and itching poor little mite. Who would I see about getting it done privately as run of the mill medical centres do take a long time etc? Help please.

  You should make an appointment with your GP first if eczema is not controlled it can become infected through scratching. Skins tests only rule out allergies or highlight which allergies the patient may have. The underlying cause of discomfort is the eczema which should be properly treated first. From there, then discuss whether or not skin testing is needed, its also helpful to keep a food diary as allergies can be food, airborne or animal related.
