Jobs that pay more then minimum wage?

  • 'm stuck in a rut. I just graduated highschool and i work two dead end jobs that pay me slightly above minimum wage in my state (which is 8.25). I want to move out but with rent being almost 800$ on the low side things look pretty hard. I'm going to college so i also want to have money for boosk and stuff. I want to dump my jobs and move on to something where i actually make money. Problem is most require prior experience or a college degree. Is there any jobs i can look into that pay pretty decent and I could possibly work? Both my current jobs are retail. One i have been with for a year and the other 1/2 year.

    might sound silly but, a wood table is right. a stripper/escort can be VERY good casual money if you need to come to that.

Starbucks gives raises every 6 months. They also have amazing benefits. Try bank telling. On average it's about 13 an hour. Also Macy's and nordstroms pay over $10.

Manufacturing (ie. factories) pay well with benefits, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE UNIONIZED. For example, an automotive manufacturer. Or the distribution centre for FedEx. Big companies are more likely to treat their employees well, or be unionized.
