What does the quote from the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel mean?

How do i explain these quotes from the book Night by Elie Wiesel?

  • I'm doing an essay on the motif "night", in the book Night, by Elie Wiesel. If you could please give me 2 more quotes about night around chapters 7-9 with 3-4 sentences of analysis, that would help me alot. So now i need help explaining these quotes: ” The gates of the camp opened. It seemed that an even darker night was waiting for us on the other side.” (pg. 80) "We were all going to die here. All limits had been passed. No one had any strength left. And again the night would be long.” (Page 98) . For the analysis i need to have 3-4 sentences explaing what the quote means and what some of the phrases in the quote mean or symbolize. About the quotes i need i already have: "Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night, seven times cursed and seven times sealed…Never” (Page 32). "… When had we left our houses? And the ghetto? And the train? Was it only a week? One night- one single night" (34). “Night had fallen,” (Page 14)
