What is the best Pokemon game for DS to get?

  • I haven't played any Pokemon games until my friend let me borrow Blue on Gameboy. I'm currently saving up towards getting a DS Pokemon game within the next month. Which one is the best to get?

    Each of us have our own opinions. Personally, I like playing Diamond, it's the only pokemon game for DS i've ever had. I can't compare it to other games because I've never played them. So I guess Diamond.

I would recommend HeartGold or SoulSilver, as they are remakes of Gold and Silver which are the Gameboy color games. HG/SS include the Johto region, but after defeating the Johto Pokemon League, you can go to Kanto which is where Red and Blue are located. There is Black and White, however the games are getting sequels within the next year or so, and the game mechanics shifted a lot in then generation V games. If you're going to just test the waters some more, I'd stay away from Black and White. Hope this helps!

I think you should get SoulSilver or Platinum. SS have a longer story but Platinum has more pokémon. Don't buy Black or White, it'll come a new game this fall.

I highly recommend black or white. White has an electric/dragon legendary while black has a fire/dragon. I prefer white
