What is skype and what can you do on it?

  • ya ya i know you're all thinking "what kind of a question is this?! who doesn't know what skype is!?" just hear me out though I thought that skype was just like a video chatting thing like Omegle but with people that you know. I never got one because I don't have a webcam. HOWEVER today my friend said that you don't need a webcam so I was confused. I asked him if it's just like MSN then and he said that Skype replaced msn but i know that msn still works. So i looked up more stuff and it said that skype lets you make calls to other people and I was like "what". I'm confused about what Skype actually is. What can you do on there? How does it work if you have a webcam? How does it work if you don't have a webcam? What are the features?

    With skype you can video chat, IM eachother, or voice chat. You can also call any phone if you pay for a subscription. You can send files to eachother also. It is a pretty neat thing to run to communicate with friends.
