I want to make a video from "Windows Movie Maker.

I made a video on Windows Movie Maker and I want to make it into a dvd. What type of disc do I need to use?

  • I don't know much about this type of thing, and I don't want to buy the wrong type of disc. There is an option on the Movie Maker that says burn disc and I am planning on just doing that. Anybody know what I need to get?

  • Answer:

The simple answer is to get empty DVD-R discs. You can get those mostly at any local store. They come in packs also.

Other answers

I'd say go with DVD-R, those seem to play in most (if not, all) DVD players, they are not re-writable, but for your purposes, I would assume they will work just fine. Make sure it is not a DVD+R or a DVD+/-RW, those really don't play very well in a lot of DVD players.
