How can I get from NYC to NJ after midnight?

  • Hey so I am going clubbing tonight in NYC I live in north jersey, bergen county, and I was wondering how do I get from NYC to NJ after midnight because I am pretty sure the buses and trains stop. I am wondering if there are separate company buses that do it or if the only option is a cab.

    After midnight, you still have some routes. A lot of routes stop running at 1AM or 1:30AM. For instance, the #158 and #163: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T1158.pdf and http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T1162.pdf The #166 basically runs 24/7: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0166.pdf There are a couple of other 24/7 routes I can't think of right now. PATH trains run 24/7, so that's an easy way to get into New Jersey. Most NJT buses stop running after midnight, and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stops at 1 AM nightly. I don't believe any buses run after 1 AM, so I do think the cab is your only opinion.

buses and trains im pretty sure run till about 1am. you cant trust those cabbies. they'll rip you off big time.
