Persuasive Speech Topic?

How do I make this topic into a persuasive speech?

• I have to give a persuasive speech for my public speaking class. I kind of have an idea of what I want to talk about, but I'm not really sure how to make it into a persuasive topic. I kind of want to talk about how the media has a negative influence on body image and perception of beauty, but I'm not sure what to persuade people on. The speech is supposed actually persuade people to change their mind about something, and I'm not sure exactly how to do that with my topic. Any help?

  It might actually be much easier thing you think. Put down your position that the media leads to a negative body image then use facts to persuade people that this is true. Basically give an example of the media's negative impact then back it up with information to support that it is true. You might also want to take a look at some of these links.
