What would you have to major in to become a video game designer?

Is it true that I should major in computer science if I want to become a video game designer?

• I am a high school junior, and I want to know as soon as possible so that I don't screw everything up later on. I really want to work with video games when I grow older, so please help. If you already know , can you please also tell me what the best computer science schools in florida are( this is very specific, so I will probably have to ask in another question). Thank you! I am also taking and AP art studio class next year, and I take mostly AP classes, with mostly A's. Thanks

  Yes. Because every third teen age male wants to become a computer game designer. Your chances of getting a job in that field is not good. With A CS degree you have a great fall back career path.
