Could we see a Orton Jericho feud after Over The Limit? + BQ's?

  • At Over The Limit as you all know by now, we'll see a Fatal 4-Way match between Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton. After this match WWE can have two feud going on until Summerslam. Sheamus could feud with Del Rio, while Orton can take on Jericho. Jericho is supposed to be here untill Summerslam, due to his tour with Fozzy. Remember it was Orton punted Jericho back in 2010, so this feud could start from that. The RKO on Sheamus on Raw had many people, including me thinking that Orton will turn heel. But honestly speaking, that was just a Stone Cold-like moment, where Orton RKO'd everyone, because he could regardless of that person is a heel or face. Resulting in Orton being a tweener, much like Steve Austin was when he Stunned both faces and heels. BQ: Should The Undertaker face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30 given the fact that both have personal issues among each other, if Cena faces Taker at WM 29? Why or why not? BQ2: Is it likely that Brock Lesnar will feud with Randy Orton after his feud/storyline with Triple H WWE is now planning on having Brock Lesnar vs Triple H as the main event of Summerslam, so it will make more sense to have a possible Lesnar/Orton feud at probably Survivor Series. BQ3: How do you rate Paul Heyman's return? Was it a hit or a miss. I'll say it's a hit, because that's just a plus for Brock Lesnar.

  • Answer:

That feud is very possible. Obviously like you mentioned, the groundwork is there between Orton and Jericho. They never came back to the fact that it was Orton who put Jericho out of action, and if they ever want to go the Orton/Jericho route, that's the easy (and believable) way to do it. Orton will not turn heel. I think you're spot on with what you said about it being an Austin-esque moment with that RKO, and that certainly does not make Orton a heel. He's always been an edgy anti-hero. He's not John Cena or The Big Show. He's always been a much darker hero. Plus, Orton turning heel makes zero sense. Less that zero. Cena, CM Punk and Orton are quite literally the ONLY elite heroes the WWE has right now (Sheamus is still up in the air) that have taken flight with the audience. Meanwhile there are a boat load of top villains. Orton going bad, especially with Sheamus being untested as a guy who can carry a show, doesn't work. I would still bet on Sheamus winning at Over the Limit and getting a bit more time with the top belt. Four person matches are always convenient for establishing new feuds (with one guy invariably costing another guy the match), and that seems likely with Orton and Jericho. I think the WWE, despite the push they're giving him, is still really unsure on Sheamus and his long-term ability to be The Man on Smackdown (like Orton and Edge previously were), and the reason they've been having Orton in side-feuds with guys like Kane (as opposed to being in the thick of the title picture or involved in the big grudge matches like Cena and Punk are on RAW) is because they want him waiting right in the wings if Sheamus falters. I wouldn't rule out Orton winning the world title at Over the Limit. I don't think it's likely at this point, but Sheamus hasn't been a smash hit yet, so it could happen. An Orton/Jericho feud, with or without the championship at stake, adds a draw and stabilizes Smackdown (as opposed to Sheamus/Del Rio, which I don't see being big no matter what happens with it). BQ: I'm not sure of Lesnar's long term plans, but one thing I'm mighty sure of is if John Cena ever does step into the ring with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, win or lose, it'll be the final time we see The Undertaker in a WWE match. Cena may lose, Cena may break the streak, but one way or another, I think that the streak ends with John Cena. Lesnar works as an opponent for The Undertaker, big time. I don't think they even really need to get into whatever "personal issues" the two of them have. The Undertaker is one of the best storytellers the WWE has ever had and Lesnar is on an incredible role. The match, especially if they continue to book Lesnar like they have so far, works naturally. BQ2: I would think so. I think at some point Lesnar will feud with Triple H, Orton, Punk, Sheamus and probably Cena again before he ultimately faces The Undertaker or The Rock at Wrestlemania. Orton is the single most consistently over performer the WWE has had in the last three years and Lesnar is red hot. I'd love to see it. BQ3: It's still a little early, but I thought Heyman did a great job. He's always been a very charismatic and talented talker, and with Brock's delivery on the microphone being a little hit or miss at times, it was cool to see Heyman in his old role as Lesnar's front man. I've always liked Heyman, but I think he works particularly well in that role. And you're spot on, it IS a big hit for Brock.

Yeah, Jericho and Orton could feud for the WHC and because Orton was the one who took Jericho out and why he was gone for 2 Years..

Yeah deffidantly No Yes No

ISEESTARS!

I'd like to see that feud. BQ: I doubt Lesnar will still be in WWE once WM30 comes around. His current contract ends right after WM29, and I don't see him re-signing. BQ2: That's another feud I'd like to see. I think that's likely. BQ3: I think in the long run it will turn out to be a hit, but the way it happened and the fan reaction at the moment made it a miss for me. I would have liked to see more reaction. It seemed to me like he got a bigger reaction once he said who he was than when he first walked out.
