  • Answer:

I assume you're from the US? I want to persue the same type of career as you, however I'm from England. I'll tell you what I'm planning to do, and you can translate it into the US education system. In England you attend High School between 11 and 16 You then attend college from 16-18 You then attend University from 18 - 21+ You will need B's at the minimum, but preferably A or A* in Physics and Mathematics at GCSE, or equivilant. You will need a Physics and Mathematics A2 level. Preferably also Electronics, Computing and Further Mathematics. Most Universities in England have a minimum of AAB in your 3 A2 levels to get into a Physics Degree. You first take a standard Physics Degree for 3 years, and you can then specilise in Theoretical, Astro, Mathematical, Particle, Mechanical or Experemental Physics for another year, and you will gain a Masters Degree. Basically, you need to be able to critical think, solve advanced Mathematics, and be able to absorb and retain information relitively fast. I achieved an A* in GCSE Physics, A in GCSE Mathematics, and I'm currently taking AS Physics, Maths, Electronics and Design Technology. In 2 years, I'll be taking a Theoretical / Mechanical Physics Degree. E-mail me if this is not what you're looking for, or you'd like to ask something else. [email protected]
