Can you get into a good college if you flunked middle school but got great grades in high school?

I was just wondering because I didn't get the best grades in middle school but i'm #3 in my grade. I'm 17 and in 11 grade so I was wondering since i'll be applying to college soon if I will get into a good college that works with finance because I want my major to be in economics even if i didn't get the best grades in middle school but acceptable grades in high school???
