How can i make my wifi signal stronger?

when my brother plays his ps3 online i some times use my laptop and his signal gets so laggy nothing happens to the signal on my laptop though how can we keep this from happening? i have a belkin N1 router and verizon's fastest DSL if that helps. I'm not sure of the exact speed though

try to put it near the window and if u want the speed,go to speedtest.net...if this doesn't work,bring ur shotgun to the guy who sold u the router and shoot him obviouslyXD
