Why does my computer monitor keep saying "no signal"?

Why dose my e machine computer monitor keep saying no signal?

  • iv tried unpluging it and restarting it but it still keeps doing it idk what to do anymore please help

  • Answer:

Sounds like the video card has gone deep six . If you got a video card in it try using the motherboard video plug . It wont be all that good but it will let you know that it is time to replace the video card that is installed in it . If you don't have a video card in the e machine then you might be thinking of getting one .

Reseat (remove then replace) the graphics card (if fitted). Check the cables at both ends are firmly in their sockets. Try the monitor on another PC with a different cable, if it works then it's the card or cable. If it doesn't, it's the monitor. Try a different monitor, if it doesn't work it's the card or cable. Try another cable, if it works, it's the cable. If it doesn't, it's the card. ©Techno
