Whenever I try and download a .gz file, it only shows the contents, it won't download the file?
-
I keep trying to download this file but whenever I do, it will only show me what's in the file but will not download it to my computer. It is a .gz file type. Here's the file: http://ftp.monash.edu.au/pub/nihongo/edict2.gz

Answer:
Right click the .gz url in your browser and go to "save as" or "save target as" .... something like that. ... Then you use an extractor/uncompress program to extract that gzip (Linux based) file -Xmetalfanx
