All great songs Mike, and thanks for the Savoy Brown one, but did you know the favorite from your list is not that song, as I have always loved Sylvia's Mother, and Dr. Hook are one of my all time favs. Thank god you did not say rate these songs Mike, as there is one thing I don't like doing is rating mothers, as it could lead one into a whole lot of trouble. Hi Mike! Hope you're having a good day??!! I'll address the songs I know okay? Paul Simon - 6. Lenny - 8. Funky little number. Lynyrd Skynyrd - 10. Like your friend, I too adore this band. Greet song!! E.C. - 7. Dr. Hook - 10. Classic song, excellent!! Yes, I have a favourite memory of my Mum ( she died a few years ago ) . As a young boy I gathered the money together to buy my mum a record. This song, when it came on the radio, my mum was on it, singing, laughing; that sort of thing. It was by a well respected English comedian, it went to number one in the charts and stayed there for a while too. The song is " Tears, " by Ken Dodd. That record and The New Seekers " I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, " always remind me of my mum! Have a grand day Mike!!

Awesome list! My fave's definitely "Simple Man," I love that song so damn much! I also love "Motherless Child" by Slowhand! Also, could have put "Mother"- Pink Floyd and "Mama Told Me Not to Come"- Three Dog Night, but overall, this list is stellar!
