If I would want to become a neonatologist?

I want to become smarter help!!!!?

  • Hi, I’m a high school senior who's graduating in about two weeks and i wanted to ask a question that's been bugging me for quite a while. I just wanted to know if it is too late to become more "intelligent." Before you guys answer my question, please read the background info. Before I moved to the United States (i previously lived in Nigeria) I lived a life of exploration and happiness. I spent lots of time in nature and learned a lot (I was basically like a little scientist). In Nigeria, my elementary school stressed mathematics and English. When i moved to the U.S. (at the age of 10) I was the best mathematics student in my school. In fact, i was even allowed to participate in math counts (only middle schoolers are allowed to participate in math counts). As I spent more time in the U.S.,i began to do less homework because i was teased at school. In fact, i almost failed 8th grade because i was too depressed to do anything. This habit of failure continued until the beginning of my senior year when, thankfully, i decided to turn my life around. I started reading more books and improving my science and math skills because my SAT score was a 1730!!!(My ACT score was a 28 though). So I wanted to know, is it possible for me to go back to my old self; that is, is it possible for me to become as intelligent (good at math, science etc.) as I was at the age of 10. I'm asking this because i heard somewhere that what you learn doing your childhood basically decides your future because it is hard to become "smart" as an adult (i'm 18 btw). And if i can become smarter I really want to know what i should do to become smarter before college starts. And please don't say. I also wanted to recover from something that's been bothering me. When i moved to the U.S. a lot of american kids made fun of me (they called me for being African. As a result, i developed low self esteem (i have never really had "true friends because of this). the bad thing about this is that whenever someone tries to become my friend (or when a girl tries to flirt with me) i'm always shy because of my deeply rooted self esteem. I want to fixxx this before college help. please help, i just want to lead the carefree and happy life i once led in Nigeria.

Any one can get better at anything in a short amount of time and because you have had studied it in the past you should have an easier time relearning it and no matter how much time you have you will always end up learning something that you didn't know I suggest getting a tutor or some online studying but that is just a suggestion Relationship wise I used to be the same way i never had any friends however i didn't get made fun of (sorry to hear) but I was shy and know how it feels. It all matters on your personality and things like that however i find if you make just one friend to have your back it is a really happy feeling and if you want to try It is easy to make some friends online and that might help you see that it is easier than you may think ( I am not trying to insult you) Hope i helped sincerely Zach
