What colleges send stuff?

Do colleges send you things because they want you?

  • I know if you sign up to be on the mailing list they'll send you things but I've gotten things from colleges I've never even heard of, and a few continuously mail me things about once a week. They say how they appreciate my academic success and want me to consider their school. My friends don't get any of these letters. So I was wondering, do colleges really look at prospective students and send letters to those they want or do they just send out letters to all kids in high school?

  • Answer:

Colleges are just $$$ hungry, doesn't matter what type of student you are

They send things because they want you to consider applying to them. You might be getting them because you did some kind of test or whatever. Or, you have the grades that they like and send you stuff to get you interested in applying to them. Its not always about the money, especially if the school is a not for-profit one.

It is just advertisement for their school, they just want you to apply to their school. The more student who apply, the more the better for the school. Getting this mail has nothing at all to do with getting accepted.

The spam graduating seniors in HS. They want your money. They could care less about you.

No Darling, they don't want YOU. They want what's inside your wallet.

Death

They want your money. And the way they get your money is by getting you to come to their school and pay their tuition and fees.
