Which AP classes should I take? (Most likely an advice from high school seniors and above?)?
-
This year, I took AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, and AP US History. I am known to be an over-achiever in my school, but after taking 3 AP classes, I realized that taking a lot of AP classes in my senior year might be too stressful (especially since I have to focus on college and financial stuff). AP Chemistry and AP US History were the first classes ever to make me overly stress about passing the AP exams and worry about my grades in class (both B's currently). AP Calculus AB, however, was easy for me; the exam itself was fairly easy to do! I wanted to ask which AP classes I should take next year. Most of my friends and teachers suggest that I should take at maximum 2 AP classes (plus, my school doesn't offer as much AP classes as most other schools). My choices were AP Statistics, AP Psychology, and AP Environmental Science (I wish they offered AP Calculus BC T^T). I heard these were the easiest AP classes to ever take; however, I want to focus on just two of them. What are your suggestions? Maybe, what are your suggestions as a high school senior? In addition, I am fairly strong at mathematics (aiming to major in a math-related course). In fact, I love math and solve problems that involves with numbers and variables. I am planning to apply to small/medium and private universities.

I know how you feel. My junior year, I took 4 AP classes (AP English, AP Spanish, AP Calculus AB, and AP Chemistry) and took AP exams for all four of them. Probably one of my more stressful high school years I can remember since that was the year I wanted to really up my GPA and make my grades look impressive. But in junior year, you have a lot more time to take all of those challenging classes without sacrificing much of anything else. Senior, you're going to be VERY busy. So make sure your load is light. In my experience, Stats and Psych were the easiest AP classes I took my senior year (I also jumped and took AP Art History, but ignore that bit for now XD). Compared to AB Calculus, Statistics will be a breeze for you. It's less critical math and more logic than anything else. Really easy to pass the class so long as you pay attention, and I found the AP exam to be pretty easy. I liked Psych more the Environmental Science, so I'm not sure how AP ES would go since I never took it, but Psych is another class that's easy to engage yourself in and is just a matter or memorizing and paying attention. Again, the AP isn't too bad. Statistics would be a very good AP class to have on your transcript if you plan on pursuing math in college. They like to see you take classes geared towards your interests, so I would definitely take that class for sure. Deciding between ES and Psych I think would just be a matter of personal interest. Which class do you think you'll like more? That's how I would approach it. At this point, you're going to be preoccupied in senior year (applications, college visiting, etc.) So try to make your classes as interesting and engaging as you can by picking interesting ones. That's my advice ^.^ Good luck!

You should take whatever classes you have an interest in. If you want to be involved in more science/math field during college years, take the AP Stat and AP psych class. I've taken both classes before and they were more interesting than AP environmental science.

I just wanted to drop by to say that you write extremely well for a high-schooler. Heck, you writer better than many of my college classmates. You know the proper use of the semi-colon, and I didn't spot a single comma splice, which is a rarity. Good luck in your endeavors (not that you need any).

AP Psych and AP Stat. I took an Environmental Science class this year and it was awfully. Apparently the AP Stat class was really easy and enjoyable though.
