Where do I find out what new shows are being canceled?

Why did 17 really good shows just get canceled?

  • I just read on Yahoo of the cancellation of 17 different shows by a variety of different networks. Why is it that every show that has a talented cast with veteran actors who actually know how to act has been canceled this year? Plus the one and only paranormal/horror themed show on all of television, "The River", have been canceled? I don't understand why this happened. And yet shows that are full of the untalented young Hollywood crowd like "Glee" who have never given even one decent acting performance in the shows history are still on the air? What are people like me who like shows with solid casts, veteran performers who have perfected their craft and great drama supposed to do to see great acting on TV now? Why has the only show with a paranormal/horror theme, "The River", been canceled? It is the only show on TV that had horror and paranormal elements to it. How is anyone going to see anything with good horror and paranormal themes in it now?

  • Answer:

If you think that The River is the only paranormal/horror theme show, then you HAVE to check out one you've missed - American Horror Story! It has my vote for the best new show of this past year.

It's all about Ratings and money If a show isn't getting good ratings or making the show money, they will cancel it

Like it or not, television is a business. TV shows are nothing more than a medium to deliver commercials. Advertisers are what it's all about. And advertisers care about ratings and demographics. They pay more for spots on shows with high ratings and desirable demographics. For whatever reason, sci-fi, horror and serialized dramas don't pull good ratings. They're expensive to produce and the low ratings mean they lose money if the network keeps airing them. Glee has decent ratings and good demographics, so it makes money. The River didn't. There are still some horror and paranormal shows on TV. Try American Horror Story, Supernatural, Fringe or Once Upon a time. There are also some bad ones, like True Blood.

The River isn't the only show with a paranormal horror theme that's still airing; have you never heard of Supernatural? Grimm?

You need to resource your show havent you heard of supernatural? and what about Glee, its a great show.
