Why wont my radio work in my car?

Car radio wont turn on, neither will clock, or internal lights, car still runs fine, all external lights work?

  • I have a 2004 chrysler sebring convertible, After recently installing a new head unit, certain parts of my car do not work, while other parts function fine. My clock has a backlight, but wont show the time, my head unit has lights on, but wont turn on, my cabin and trunk light wonty come on, the car still runs, the external lights work, the gauges all light up, the aircon stil works. From what i can tell, all fuses are fine, wires are good. For a short time after i installed the unit, it was working fine. I would welcome all and any ideas as to what may be wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. Please Help

  • Answer:

Check your fuses. You probably have a blown fuse. Find the fuse that operates the stereo and replace it with one that you know works. See if that solves your problem.

it's possible that you either have a short in one of those wires or your power wire is not hot
