What solid foods besides baby food can my baby eat?

  • my baby seriously hates baby food...i gave her some mashpotatoes and ever since then she will not eat any baby food i have been trying for 2 weeks to get her to eat all the kinds of baby food and she makes the gag face everytime...i give her mash potatoes and no sugar pudding in which her doctor said that was fine but i was wondering if there was any other food like mash potatoes tht she can eat...no teeth yet...

    She can eat anything you eat. My son didn't have any teeth till 14 months and he started eating solids at 6 months. Babies can gum up food pretty well. Offer whatever the rest of the family is eating, and trust me she'll be much happier that way. Of course when you give it to her,make sure its size and texture is appropriate for her.

You can make your own baby food easily by puree-ing steamed veggiez and freshI or canned fruits in the blender or mashing them up. You can make enough for a week and freeze it in ice cube trays and thaw/warm for feeding. Also check into doing "baby led solids."and Best of luck!

Stop wasting your money on those nasty jars. Have you tasted that crap? They all taste the same and taste horrible! Make your own baby food if she's just starting solids, and once she has the hang of eating that without choking and gagging, she can eat what you're eating. In either tiny pieces or fist size pieces so she can pick it up and feed herself.

My daughter is the same way so I make her food I give her mashed potatoes, home made soups, pureed veggies, mashed bananas, pureed beans baby oatmeal, mashed rice, pretty much anything as long as it's mashed or pureed
