What are the steps in making a feasibility study?

When we do a economical feasibility study report,should we consider about the feasibility of the software deve?

• software developing company or software using(client) company? i mean thing like,will the software give any profit? is this question related to developing side or using side? like will the client company get any profit by using the software OR will the developing team/company get any profit by making the software??? (let's say report writer is on the developing team)

  A feasibility study, regardless of its nature (technical or economical or logistical) is a study into whether it is feasible (able to cope with demand) for a certain group, company or business, to sustain itself in the environment in which it expects to trade or operate. Economical refers to profit, expenses, and costs, basically, so if a firm is not making a profit from the product then the economical feasibility study would include other factors such as target customer, costs of shipping, sales staff, online trading ratio to direct sales etc. If the Company doing the feasibility study is the manufacturer of a product then all as stated earlier would apply however if the study is done by the client then the study may refer to costs of in-house staff as against outsourcing, cost of equipment and other overheads such as building, rates, rentals etc and compared to the profitability of the work done by the client with use of the software created for them. If the software is inadequate or buggy or lacks substance and is causing ongoing problems for either their work or their own clients then the study would show that the costs of delays to said work would, in fact, impact on their own credibility to perform and may cause loss of clients and possibly bankruptcy due to the fact that the software is no longer operational and they cannot do the work required thus no profit ergo the banks and creditors move in and shut the place down for not paying their bills.
