My saxophone may be broken...how do I fix it?
-
Hey all, I was playing alto sax for a show and something went wrong with it. Every time I try to play an A, G, F, E, or D, on either octave, it only comes out as air or if blow hard enough, a squeak. The only way that this problem has been able to be resolved is by taping or pressing continuously the Bb key. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Answer:
If I were you, I'd check it over for loose screws or springs. If you don't find any, have a fellow musician check it too, just in case. Also, try playing with a different reed and/or mouthpiece. If none of those work, I suggest taking it to a music store and having them look over it. Best of luck!
