Should i cut my long hair? Don't want to regret it?

if i were you i would cut it to my mid-back. I think if its down to your butt its a bit too long but dont cut it too short. When i was a little kid i had beautiful, thick hair down to my butt and decided to cut it to my shoulders when i was ten. I regretted it. What i realized is no matter how many times i told myself i was going to grow it out again, i ended up continuing to cut it. Im now twenty years old and its taken me this long to grow it out to the length i like. Plus, if your hair is thick and wavy like mine its even more of a pain in the butt when its short, but if you keep it at your mid-back it will look amazing and be easier to maintain. Also if you've never cut it before theres a good chance you have split ends and cutting it will keep it healthier. But make sure its your decision. Dont let anyone make your decisions for you. Start off by donating 8 to 10 inches... then see if you like it.... Hair will always grow back and even if you don't like it you can have the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone

If you're really interested in cutting it for yourself and not for what other people want, I would try cutting bits off at a time. Try with only two or three inches and see how you like it. If you still want more off, cut another two or three inches and continue to do so until you reach a desired length. I'd even wait a couple of days between cuttings so you can get used to it.

Don't cut your hair, especially if you like it. Really long hair is pretty and rare these days. Everyone wants you to either have a bob or pixie, and they barely look good on most women I've seen them on. Just don't listen to people tell you what to do to your hair, especially the people who try to make you feel guilty if you don't donate your hair. It's YOUR hair, you love it the way it is, therefore, you shouldn't have to.

Cut it! To be honest, usually when hair is as long as yours, it becomes weighed down and not very lively. Believe me, I have gone through the same thing as you. My hair was long (not as long as yours, but still long) and it was not until after I cut it that I realized how much better my hair looked shorter! Cutting long hair takes away the split ends, which makes hair look and feel healthier. It also adds bounce and volume to your hair. And hair always grows back! It's not like it will look bad! I personally love long hair on a girl....but I'm not the one who has to do all the work taking care of it.....so do what pleases YOU.
