Question about chest voice head voice and mixed?

  • Ok so i am learning to sing in mixed. My main thing is when should i be using mixed? and also for higher notes my teacher said i should switch to mix but i don't really feel or hear a difference from chest and mixed when hitting higher notes. Should i still follow the advice? any advice?

  • Answer:

Chest voice should be soft and should obviously feel like it's coming from you're chest. You're head voice should sound completely different. If you put you're finger on your cheeks inline with your nostrils. When you sing headvoice is should be sounding like it's there where you're fingers are. when you're coming off of you're chest voice you should fade into you're headvoice. You're vocal coach should be learning you this not Yahoo answers.
