Natwest credit card question?
-
hello using natwest online credit card services, i transferred £1850 from my credit card to my bank account (i bank with natwest also and the credit card online services lets you use your credit card to send money to bank accounts, so i sent some to my own). the £1850 was money i had been refunded from a purchase so it wasn't from my 'credit', it was money i had sitting on the card that belonged to me, i don't owe it, my credit card was in credit, if you like. so anyway, the small print said 'these transactions have no interest free period' - i understand that means you would pay interest on it from day 1, but seeing as the money was my own credit, i don't think there will be any charges cos i'm technically not borrowing the money. am i right? it will just come off my balance and the card will still be in the black, not dipping into any of the credit limit at all as i had a couple of big refunds to the card. hope this makes sense to someone!

That all sounds logical

LOL! This will be treated as a cash advance and you will have to pay interest from day one. You will then have to call customer services and try to persuade that you should not be charged. This might not sound logical but this is how the computers are programed. It will depend on what NatWest thinks of you as a customer as to whether it will drop the charges. I speak from experience here. You should have called them first and got them to have sent you a refund.

interesting question all you did was request the credit balance. I have never seen anything other then a check issued option for this. I would just wait and if they charge you ask for an adjustment it was your money not credit or cash advance
