Disney World fans, are you fans of everything Disney?

If you go to Disney World a lot. This question is for you. I like to ask questions that spark different opinions. I'm not looking for mean responses, just your own opinion. If you go to Disney world (or even Disneyland), a lot, how much of a Disney person are you outside of vacations? Do you watch the Disney Channel? Do you have a lot of Disney apparel? , Do you own a lot of Disney movies? Outside of the Disney princess movies and Pixar, what is your favorite old Disney movie you like to watch? If Disney was only parades, characters, and shows (NO RIDES), would you and your family still go a lot? I have only been to Disney 3 times in my life. But I have had Disney on my brain for a few months now, that's why I am asking this question.

Answer:
-i do not watch the disney channel cuz i am not into the teenybopper shows. -i do have a lot of disney apparel. a lot of it is directly from disney world but i also have clothes purchased on the disney store website as well as from places like walmart. (i bought a mickey mouse sleeper from walmart this past winter) -i also have disney jewelry from earrings to necklaces to a charm bracelet. -yes i own most of the disney movies. some are still only on vhs though such as the little mermaid. when that comes out in 3d i'm sure they'll bring it out of the vault so i'll buy that too. -speaking of 3d movies i've gone to see the lion king and beauty and the beast in 3d and plan to go see the little mermaid as well -i don't car the pixar films much. outside of the disney princess movies my favorite disney movie has got to be 101 dalmatians. i could watch that movie every day and not get tired of it. (in fact that was my 13yr old niece's favorite disney movie from the time she was about 1.5-4 and i did watch it just about every day lol) -yes i think we would (my mom would certainly be happy cuz those are her favorite parts. she does obviously like the rides as well though). some of my favorite attractions are shows such as carousel of progress (although its a ride as well since the theater does rotate). i also really like the enchanted tiki room, mickey's philharmagic, captain eo, beauty and the beast live on stage, voyage of the little mermaid, sounds dangerous with drew carey, and muppet vision 3d. and i do enjoy meeting the characters like mickey, minnie, donald, goofy, pluto, the princesses, and others. and my favorite nighttime show is illuminations reflections of earth. one other thing i wanted to add that shows how much of a disney fan i am is that i have a tattoo of mickey mouse on the inside of my left ankle.

I go to Disney World somewhat frequently (though, not as frequently as others... I hope to be able to go more often in the future)... I wear some Disney shirts, mostly what I've purchased in the parks, but occasionally I buy socks and/or underwear that have Mickey or Minnie on them. I do own a lot of the Disney movies, and I'm slowly acquiring them on DVD. I used to have a LOT of the VHS tapes (like, EVERY ONE), but I donated them to a child I knew as the format got out of date for me. (As in, I had no room to store the VHS tapes at the time.) I do not watch the Disney channel very much unless A) I'm babysitting someone or over visiting friends/family with small children, or B) there's something old school or movie-ish on. My favorite Disney movie is The Lion King (and I was 8 years old when it came out, and the local movie house had it there for a really cheap admission price for the entire Summer of 1994.) My other favorite Disney movie is "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" which came out when I was about 3, and I am not kidding when I say I've been watching it since I was really little in the 80s. I wore out a couple of copies (despite not "getting" it until I was older). To this day (I'm 26), I still am a little bit spooked each time I watch because Judge Doom (played by Christopher Lloyd) used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid. And, I watched anyways... If it was just parades, characters, and shows, no, I don't think I'd go as much. I love it, but I like the rides and attractions that go well beyond just the parades, characters, and shows. There certainly wouldn't be four parks worth, and if you strip it down that way, you lose lots of that magic...

I think it would take away the fun of it even with all the characters there. I think that Disneyland is supposed to be for being in the adventures of the movies/shows and experience everything in person. That's why i think they have all the rides so that you can experience what the characters went to. I also think that the price would go down if it was just characters and shows.

I like most of the old and most of the new movies. Really, the parks are an extension of the movies. Lose the good movies, and you lose the parks business eventually. Or at least you would have to change it significantly. That is why I found it disheartening when they got out of the annimation business a few years back. Since a big portion of their business grows from the annimated movies it did not make sense to me. I have a tshrt and a hat. Disney Channel is for kids. You need the rides and shows.
