What is the return policy on eBay?

EBay- person wants to return an item, no return policy?

  • I recently sold a pair of shoes for my friend off of eBay. She emailed me back saying that she didn't know they had platforms, but in the picture you can clearly see platforms.... Even my husband (who knows nothing about fashion, and has never seen the shoes) could tell from the picture that they have platforms. In the title, I put "pumps", which generally have platforms these days. I had the height of the shoes in the details, and everything accurately described. I didn't want returns because my friend needed the money ASAP to pay for bills because her water was cut off, and they're new shoes so I didn't know if the buyer would try to wear and return them. Plus hygiene. So, would I be forced by eBay to return them? If she filed an "item not as described" case, would she win? Because everything I described is accurate, but because I didn't say "1/2 inch platform" would she be able to use that against me? I'm trying to be nice about it, but I really don't think I'm at fault.

Why did you describe platform shoes as pumps?

Pumps are low high heels. But since you had a picture, that should cover your liability. It is up to Ebay.
