How do I get revenge on a boss that recently fired me?
-
Okay, first thing I'm going to say is that I'm not very interested in comments that say, "getting revenge hurts you more than the other person... the best revenge is moving on... getting another job is the best revenge... when you apply for another job, this job will be on your resume and you will get a bad report...etc." Now that we have established that, let me explain... I got hired at a small fast food restaurant and I got along great with my manager. However, shortly after being hired I noticed that my boss only employed young employees and I quickly figured out why: because he could train them to run the store as managers, yet they were so unexperienced he didn't have to pay them as much as someone with more experience. The result of this plan? A bunch of young kids that were lazy and had no proper work ethic whatsoever. This was an advantage to me, because I worked my *** off and I basically had no competition so it resulted in my manager asking me if I wanted a manager position. I accepted and he began to train me. I thought things were going great at work! My manager had only owned the business (a franchise) for less than a year so he was new himself at learning how to run a business. He came to me for professional advice, and with my help the business improved greatly within a small amount of time. Next thing I knew, BAM! He made up some excuse to fire me when I obviously did nothing wrong to deserve it. He even told me many times that I was the best employee there (and the one he had chosen to train as a manager, obviously I was doing something right!), a lot of the other employees were just overall lazy, sucked at their jobs, made the business lose money left and right, and half of them stole merchandise which the manager even had proof of. I confronted him and demanded to know the real reason why I got fired because obviously, things didn't make sense. Finally he admitted, in an implied way where you gotta put the pieces together to figure it out, the real reason why I got fired. Long story short, he basically used all the advice I had given him, then went out and secretly hired a new employee who already had manager experience that way he didn't have to put in as much time and effort into training me. He used all my advice then threw me out like garbage because he used me and he knew I would expect a higher raise if he promoted me (DUH). Then I asked, why? Why are you firing me, your best employee, when I have done nothing wrong and you were even training me to become a manager and yet you keep the guy who you caught stealing? And he simply said because the other guy had been working there for a year, which basically meant that the other guy can collect unemployment and he didn't want to keep me any longer because I was getting close to working there long enough to get unemployment and he had been patiently waiting for any excuse to fire me. He basically just used me to better his business then got rid of me when I didn't deserve it. I am so angered by this! I had put in so much personal time and effort into this place, and this man totally took advantage of me. I'm sorry, but I cannot just walk away! I need to get revenge and give him a taste of his own medicine. I have a few ideas on how to get revenge, and I'm interested in feed back from you guys or any other great ideas. First thing, the health inspector shows up randomly and checks the place. Every sunday he ILLEGALLY changes the dates on food in the walk in fridge because he is so cheap that he won't throw anything out, so when the health inspectors come they think the food is still fresh when it should have been thrown out a month ago. Sick, right? I've done research, but I have yet to find out how to report this and other unsanitary conditions and I need help on figuring out how to do so! And just some info that might help, this business is located in Queens, NY. Another idea is that he always closes 30 minutes to an hour early. Most of the time it is slow around that time of day so usually no one stops by and if they do they just walk away disappointed. However, if he were to be reported to the franchise company for closing early than he would be in big trouble. Any ideas on that? Or even if I don't report, how to make him paranoid about other customers thinking about reporting it? Also, if that particular store gets too many bad reviews from customers than it could temporarily or even permanently shut down. Basically, anyone with any experience or knowledge of the food industry and how to get them in any trouble would be appreciated. I'm not just getting random, made up revenge either... this guy is so cheap and breaks so many rules, there are so many revenge ideas to be hatched from it! You could be eating at a restaurant one day with a manager like this, where your food is a month old and he gets away with it. So please, help me think of revenge idea

Answer:
It's Unfair but he owns the business. So leaving his business it will go down. Please look for another job in the mean time and you will probably get someone awesome to work with . I would sue him if I were in your position. If you are telling the truth and he had no real reason to fire you, and only did so because he was worried about the unemployment thing, than you should have a case. Not only will he lose money, but you will be receiving it.
It's totally not fair, but he owns the business and acting like an idiot - by leaving his business will go down the tuber anyway which is punishment enough for his greediness and hopefully he'll learn his lesson or when you leave he will realise what an asset you were and will want you back asap - so just leave it and one way or another it will resolve itself - look for another job in the mean time and you may surprise yourself and find someone awesome to work for...if you don't want to give this guy as a reference, don't, but give your old bosses name before him instead.
