A Simple Question about connecting Studio Monitors to an external Soundcard?
-
I have an Avid mBox Mini and i have pair of ESI near05. I don't know how to connect the 2 together. I've been researching and i know that one end of the cable needs to be 1/4inch jack, but the monitors have both trs and xlr outputs, which do I use to connect the two together, and should I use balanced or unbalanced? thanks guys!

Answer:
hi there! i suggest with the mbox to use balanced jack cables. I use an audiobox with rokit 6's and the balanced cables provide the best sound quality, the ones i use are here: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/2239-lynx-professional-6-3-stereo-jack-to-jack-3m.html no too expensive and they really are great!! Good luck
