What do u do if u have wanna be Con Artist Clients?

How can a makeup artist that just got certified gain clients?

• I'm really thinking about going to beauty school but what has been giving me second thoughts is the matter of how will I gain my clients. I don't want to go through with the makeup program and get nothing out of it.

  beauty school (aka cosmetology school) is not a good place for an education in makeup...not only is it very hair-centered, you will end up with a license to do hair, and very little, if any, education for makeup. there is no formal training required to work as a freelance makeup artist, and no official licensing. if you are interested in FX work, then a good makeup school is pretty important...if you are focusing on beauty makeup, then it's not necessary. if you only want to go the beauty route, then an esthetician course would be a better bet, for your time and money. only go to beauty school if you want to be a licensed hair stylist. as for the question about clients...it all depends on the market you are in (demand for pro makeup services), your talent, your portfolio, word-of-mouth, etc. i am hard-pressed to give you specifics, as there are many aspect of the industry (print/commercial/runway, film/tv, stage, bridal/event, etc), and you have not clarified the path that interests you.
