Will i qualify for Social security disability?
-
Will i qualify for Social security disability? No criticism please. I`m 25 years old. When i was 10 i was hit by a car in a crosswalk. I suffered a broken knee, And the accident tweaked my neck. My neck has always bothered me ever since. And i get 10-12 migraines a year. My knee bothers me sometimes. But not as bad as my neck. When i was 17, I helped my dad hang Christmas lights, I fell off the ruff and broke my ankle. Ever since then i have trouble standing up for over 2 hours (Although i was forced to at work). At the age of 20 i was diagnosed with ADD, Depression, And Anxiety disorder (I have panic attacks). I`m by no means lazy. I worked the past 4 years at a steel casting plant. It was really hard on my neck and my ankle. I couldn't take it any longer, I quit last week. I have a nest egg saved.. But i paid into ssi for 4 years, Shouldn't they help me?

Answer:
Apply and see. There are people on SS Disability who have never paid in, And have way less things wrong with them than you.

The first thing the SS office will ask you is "Why can't you work a desk job" You may be able to get SSDI but don't expect it to be approved the first time around. You might find that it will take you a couple of years before finally getting approval. All you can do is to apply and then if necessary get an attorney.

All you can do is apply and see what happens. You will probably need a doctor to help out.

My aunt is actually abusing it right now and I can tell you that it can't be that great..you will make more money and have better opportunities and freedoms if you just tough it out. Try low key work like secretaries or get a certificate for a low physical stress job.

I have post concussion syndrome and have dealt with it for about four years now from an incident to where I was robbed and pistol whipped and still work. I ultimately have a perpetual headache and still work hard. I used to be a social worker. Trust me, you don't want to get on SSDI. It is a lifestyle that you do not want to see. Just tough it out and do whatever it takes to make a better life for yourself...unless you want a life of dealing with social workers, housing authorities and more rules than you had growing up. Trust me...you don't want it. It is hell for the people who are in the system!

Chances are you will be denied on your 1st try. Get representation, And you might succeed on your 2nd try.

I'm afraid you do not qualify if you did not accrue enough credit points.

Simple answer is no. Your still qualified to do other work in my opinion.
