How should i ask my teacher?

• I need a letter of recommendation from an adult and i wanted to ask my US history teacher, but you see we have had very awkward moments. Like she really hates me and i talk back to her a LOT. I got dared to ask her to write it for me, but i couldn't so i asked like 5 people to line up in a line and ask her for me. But she won't write it unless i go ask her myself. I just can't do it. I feel so weird just to talk to her. I asked her why do i have to ask her and she said later in life you have to talk to your bus. and i said my boss won't be you though and she said you never know. How can i ask her without going insane, because she said for a fact she won't write it unless I ask her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell me to go ask someone else or any of that crap i just wanna how to ask HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

  I think the best thing to do in this situation is confront her and ask her. Clearly she is willing to help you out because she told your friends that you need to ask her. If she didn't care or want to, she would have just said no all together. Maybe she wants to talk to you about what to put in the letter or just needs to hear if from you. Honestly, just forget your hatred towards her and be really nice about it. I had a teacher/director who I swear is out to get me but I pretend like nothing's wrong and I am always nice to her. Don't fight fire with fire, just ask her :) "Hi Ms. So and so, Sorry I didn't come talk to you earlier, but I am looking for a teacher recommendation for xyz, could you help me out? I know I haven't been the best student in your class lately but I really have been trying to work on my behavior, I hope you understand."
