How much would it cost to make a casino on the strip - Las Vegas?

  • I'm planning on getting my own casino built on The Strip of Las Vegas before too long. It's going to be a hotel and casino but nothing too big or fancy. It's going to be about the same size as The Flamingo. I have a fair amount of money along with a few other individuals with some money but I'm not sure if it's enough. I'm trying to figure out how much it would cost to: 1. Clear land and make room for my casino. It's a hotel and casino and I want it to be about the same size of The Flamingo, as well as next to The Flamingo. Would I have to buy another casino if it's on the area I want mine to be on? 2. How much would it cost to have it built including all furniture, designs, machines, games etc. 3. If I can't afford it, how much would one cost? Since I plan on having mine to be very similar to The Flamingo in size, how much does the Flamingo cost? 4. How much money would a casino like this make? I heard that the owners of casinos like i want mine on the strip make around $62,700,000 a month. Is this true??? How much money do casino OWNERS make monthly? As of now I have $11,000,000 saved up, is this enough to have a hotel / casino that is the same size as The Flamingo built on the strip?

LMAO First off, I don't think a millionaire would be turning to Yahoo! Answers for investment inquiries. Such as building a casino. Secondly, most of the newer casinos cost over a billion $ to build. You only have $11 million, barely enough for a small mansion on the strip if you consider the property rates. Third, people don't get together with a group of friends and save up enough for a casino. You'd have to be connected, reputable, and have a solid business plan to pitch to financiers. Nice dream, though.

You have to have the land and then more than 2 billion dollars. Casinos are owned by corporations except a few like Treasure island. The average person cannot build one. But once build the person who owns it or any shareholder with more than 5% must pay for a very expensive, extensive background check.
