Is is bad to take 2 allergy pills a day,and what are allergy shots?

• For the past months I've been taking Clariten Clear Allergy + Sinus twice a day. But at around 3/4 the day my allergies come back Again. Would 3 be better or just worse for you. I know the box says 1 a day, I've asked the doctor about 2 and he said I should be fine, but I should look into allergy shots. What are allergy shots and is taking 2 allergy pills a day bad? Thanks

  Have you tried a different brand of antihistamine? Allergy shots are a very tiny fraction of the substance you are allergic to. Over several years, the dosage is slowly increased until it is as strong as what you are normally exposed to. They really do work, but it is literally hundreds of shots and it can take a couple of years to start working. After you are finished with the series of allergy shots, you won't need antihistamines anymore. Allergy shots are effective for at least ten years after stopping.
