What is being in a career in medical technology like?

I need to know 3 different types of technology used in the nutrition/dietetics career field?

  • I'm a college student in English Composition II and I'm starting my final essay. The subject is technology in my future career field, which will be in dietetics. I plan on getting my BA in dietetics and then working as a nutritionist or dietitian in a hospital/gym/MMA training camp. So, I need to figure out any form of technology that is used in the profession. Here's some stuff my teacher has given us to get on the right track, if you care/would like a better idea of what my teacher wants. Please include at least three types of technology in the field and the affects of each. Note: Computers, TVs, cell phone, or other general types of technology is not acceptable. You could discuss a particular program on the computer or an app on a phone. Get detailed into the field. The syringe (nurse), the ATM (bank employee), the program Chief Architect (designer), are good examples. Be descriptive and detailed about the technology and it's effect in your field as your classmates may not be as knowledgeable about this field. And here are some examples of technology in other career fields Please include at least three types of technology in the field and the affects of each. the syringe (nurse), penicillin (general medical sciences), the ATM (bank employee), the program Chief Architect (designer/builder), Herbicide/Round-Up Weed Killer (farming), the calculator (accountant), geosynchrounus satellite (meteorologist), GPS geotagging (cartography), SmartBoards (teachers), solar power tower (sustainable development), e-catalogs (fashion merchandiser), solider augmentation (military engineering), contact lenses (optomologist), carbon filament light bulb (electrical engineer), the barcode (retail management), Dewey Decimal Classification System (library science), hydrometer (brewing), e-readers (writer/publisher), silt fence for erosion control/water pollution (environmental science and construction) electric car batteries (engineer), printing press/typography (graphic design), dentures (dentistry), online research database (educator), internal combustion engine (mechanic), the steam-powered tractor (heavy equipment operator), pneumatic inflatable tires (motorcycle mechanic), MIDI keyboard controller (musician/music producer), Microsoft Excel/Computer Aided Scouting Flaws (sports talent scout), mobile imaging service (sonographer). *Basically, avoid using the internet and it doesn't have to be technology that is electronics and such. I'm considering BMI, my teacher also thinks that that is a good idea. But I need more options. Thank you so much, everyone! :)
